On May 17, SIMCom’s LTE CAT1 module SIM7500JC passed the certification by KDDI in Japan. SIM7500 has now become the world’s first and only CAT1 module certified by DOCOMO/SOFTBANK/KDDI in Japan. This shows the determination and strength of SIMCom to break into the Japanese market. On June 29th, SIMCom’s module SIM7000JC passed the certification by KDDI and became the first module CAT M1 approved by Japanese law and operators. The two product lines of SIMCom’s 4G and NB-IoT have passed the certification by Japanese operators successively, demonstrating the determination of SIMCom to march into the Japanese market.
As one of SIMCom’s multi-mode modules for the Japanese market, SIM7000JC is LCC packaged to support LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B8/B18/B19/B26 frequency bands. It has a size of 24.0*24.0*2.6mm, weighs 3.0g, and supports LTE CAT-M1(eMTC)’s uplink and downlink transmission rates (375kbps and 300kbps), NB-IoT’s uplink and downlink transmission rates (66kbps and 34kbps), and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BDS).
The SIM7000JC package and AT command are compatible with SIM800F and SIM900 to support the smooth upgrade of customer terminal product design from 2G to NB-IoT/CAT-M1, which minimizes customer investment, shortens the development cycle of customer products and speeds up the product launching process.
SIM7000JC integrates high performance, security and flexibility, and is designed for M2M applications that require low latency and medium data throughput, such as metering, vehicle mounting, asset tracking, remote monitoring, healthcare, mobile POS terminal, and the sharing economy.
